聚四氟乙烯纤维盘根是用纯四氟纤维，并具有密封高速转轴性能和附加的耐高温剂。能耐化学和机械的侵蚀，形状稳定，在较低格兰压力下能有效地密封等。

众所周知，聚四氟乙烯导热系数低，热膨胀系数大，摩擦热将不能传导到填料箱外壳，故会损坏盘根，因此该盘根一般不推荐在高线速度泵上使用。

As PTFE is low in thermal conductivity and big in thermal expansion, frictional heat is not conducted to the outside of the stuffing box but trapped inside and damages the packing, thus this packing is not recommended for high speed pumps.
